Welcome to US History & Government!  This is the commencement level course of American history.  It is the second of two required Regents level courses and exams that must be passed to earn a New York State High School Diploma. 

The goal of this course is for you to understand the development of the United States at a more detailed and critical level.  Because we live in a democracy and help to make decisions that directly impact our lives, the future of our nation, and even the lives of people in other parts of the world, it is important to understand how we have evolved as a nation over the course of our history.
