Session Five

Students work in their groups practicing their assigned lines.

Reader's Theatre Pointers

Hold your scripts at a good height, but make sure it does not hide your face.  You should be able to see your audience.

Try not to talk into your script.

Talk slowly so that each word is clear.

Talk loud enough so if your grandparents were in the room, they could hear you.

Speak with EXPRESSION!  We love to hear the feeling in your voice.

Remember to follow along in the script- losing your place distracts everyone!

If you make a mistake, don't worry, just keep reading.

HAVE FUN and remember to share the positive points!

Finished early?  Try some of the extended activities:

If you finish early complete the story map for your favorite fairy tale.
