Academic Services
Eighth period is a designated Academic Support Period. Students are able to meet with teachers as needed to receive additional support. This is also a time for students to make-up missed tests/quizzes or classwork. (Students participating in band,choir,orchestra or pull-out ais classes during eighth period may not have daily support period.)
AIS services (remedial classes) are available to students identified as needing extra support in Math and English Language Arts. Students are identified for AIS services based on teacher recommendation and/or performance on the NYS ELA/Math exams.
Students seeking help with homework and test preparation in a supportive environment are encouraged to attend homework club. This is available to all students Monday through Thursday afterschool from 2:30-3:30 in the Middle School library. Two supervising teachers are available to assist students with their studies. A late bus is available to transport students home.
