Course Descriptions
Environmental Science:
The goal of the Environmental Science: an ecological perspective course is to provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and skills required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems both natural and human-made, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them. Environmental science is interdisciplinary; it embraces a wide variety of topics from different areas of study.
Biology (NYS Living Environment):
The Living Environment is designed to facilitate students in exploring the most important ideas about our living environment, as well as aiding them in formulating explanations about what they see around them. It is a relevant and vital subject not only for scientists, teachers and those in the medical professions, but for everyone!
