What the GIs saw...

These photographs documenting the Holocaust were shot by GIs in Germany. Al Cohen acquired them, and others, on the troop ship home, when a GI losing his money playing poker pawned them off to him. Al stated that he brought them to the United States Holocaust Museum in Washington DC, where the official who viewed them could tell him exactly which camp each photo had been taken.

We present them to you here, with Mr. Cohen's permission, not for shock value, but so that we may never forget- to our knowledge, they have never been published before. As our GIs pass away, can we really afford to forget what happened?
