Class of 2021 Graduation Plans

June 18, 2021 UPDATE:

Due to new NYS rules surrounding graduation ceremonies, all HFCSD graduates may bring an additional FIVE guests to the ceremony on June 26th.

All guests must have a ticket. Tickets may be picked up by families or students at the High School between June 23-25 during normal business hours.

We are excited to honor the Class of 2021 and celebrate all their accomplishments with an outdoor, in-person graduation ceremony at Hudson Falls High School football field on Saturday, June 26. These plans are subject to changes in New York State or Washington County guidelines for outdoor gatherings.

All students will gather for one ceremony scheduled for 9:30 am on Saturday, June 26. Students should arrive at school 30 minutes before the graduation ceremony. Please report directly to the sidewalk on the East Labarge entrance where you will be greeted by Dr. Bishop, your school counselor, and advisors, and follow their instructions.

Inclement Weather Plans

In the event of inclement weather, by 4 p.m. on Friday, June 25, we will inform you if we need to change the time for Saturday, June 26. In the event of a delay, our intent is to reschedule for that afternoon. We will inform families via robocall and SMS of any changes.

If Saturday looks to be a complete washout, we will inform families by 8 am on Saturday to reschedule. Our intent is to reschedule for Sunday, June 27. We will inform families via robocall and SMS of any changes and will post them on our website and social media channels.

Each graduate will receive three tickets by mail for guests to attend. Graduates and guests must wear a mask once they leave their cars and practice social distancing until they are seated. Seating will be pre-marked for proper social distance. Please have tickets out and ready as you enter the football field. Guests will have their temperature taken and will fill out a contact tracing form before they are allowed into the football stadium.

Guests and graduates may park in the East LaBarge Street or the Franklin Street parking lots.

The entire ceremony will be live-streamed and saved for later viewing. The link will also be posted on our district website, as well as our YouTube channel: We encourage everyone to share with family and friends who are unable to attend the ceremony.

As of right now, there will be no in-person graduation practice for students. Instead, High School Principal Jim Bennefield will record and share a video with students that they should each watch prior to the ceremony, walking our students through what it will look like on the football field.
