Hudson Falls High School math teacher Katie Miller has recently become the district’s newest New York State Master Teacher.
New York State Master Teachers are K-12 Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) educators who are dedicated to professional growth within their field and classrooms. Master Teachers collaborate with STEM educators and pre-service teachers with the goal of strengthening STEM education.
Miller has been teaching for over a decade, half of that at Hudson Falls. She says the Master Teacher program will help open doors for her, and her students.
“The professional development I am participating in will help me broaden my content knowledge and bring exciting mathematics to the students, such as the SET Game,” said Master Teacher Katie Miller. “I hope to inspire my students and prepare them for STEM careers.”
