Dear Hudson Falls School Community,
As we make our way toward the end of the month, we wanted to share a quick update with you all.
We continue to work diligently on preparing our reopening plan, to be submitted to the state by July 31. As soon as the plan is finalized, we will share it widely, as well as on our website.
As a reminder, our plan must include three scenarios: a traditional reopening plan, a hybrid model where some schooling is remote and some is in-person, and a virtual learning plan. These plans must articulate our safety protocols as well.
Separately, during the first week of August, Governor Cuomo will determine if we are able to return to school, and if so, in what capacity.
Our teams have been meeting daily to create and complete our plan. We have not made any final decisions at this time, but please know that collectively, our priorities are that students and staff are safe, and if possible, that we can get as many students face-to-face as often as we can.
When we do share our final plan with our community and the state, we do know that regardless of what it looks like or what the governor has decided, we all must remain flexible. If we have learned one thing throughout this pandemic, it is that the only thing that is certain is more uncertainty. Fortunately, we have an incredible team who cares deeply about our students and school community.
As we continue to create our plan, we want to remind you that we want to hear from you. Our Thoughtexchange remains open for one more week, through 8 p.m. on Monday, July 27.
The question remains: What’s at the top of your heart and mind as we plan to return to school?
To those of you who have participated, thank you for your valuable input. Please revisit the exchange to rate and “star” the thoughts of your community members so that we are able to determine your collective priorities and questions..
If you have not yet participated, please do so. Remember, we are smarter and better together.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
