I hope everyone will take this well deserved time to rest and recharge as we gear up for the final stretch of the school year. For those of you currently on the road or in the air, we wish you nothing but safe travels and smooth journeys. If you’re keeping things low-key with a "staycation", you're in the right place! Check out the local activities in this issue of Talking Tigers to keep your break exciting and full of Tiger spirit.

Caution Tape

While our classrooms may be quiet next week, our campus will be buzzing with activity as the ongoing capital project takes full advantage of the empty facilities. Please be aware that significant progress is being made, which will result in some temporary access changes.

At the High School, the F-Wing and large cafeteria will be completely unavailable throughout Spring Break; anyone needing to enter the building should plan to use the East LaBarge entrance.

Over at the Middle School, the nurse’s office hallway (C-Wing) will be closed all week, so please keep an eye out for temporary signage directing you to alternate routes for the gymnasium and main offices. Finally, heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, and cranes, will be active across the campus. We ask that you exercise extra caution during student pick-up and drop-off to ensure everyone’s safety.

Staycation

While many people will take this break to take a vacation out of town, those remaining local may want to take advantage of opportunities being offered in and around town.

The Village of Hudson Falls will be hosting an Egg Hunt at Moran-Derby Park on Saturday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m. It is a free family event and areas will be sectioned off for age appropriate treats and fair opportunity.

Washington County tourism is a great place to check for local adventures and the Hudson Falls Public Library hosts several spring break activities for all ages.

You can also support your Tiger athletic teams that have games during the break. Visit the athletics page for a schedule.

Summer Programs

Our school district is excited to offer a variety of summer programs designed to keep students engaged, inspired, and on track for the upcoming year. Whether your child needs to reinforce core skills or wants to explore new interests, we have a pathway for every learner.  Please visit our Summer Program offerings for more information.
