Thank you for your continued patience as capital construction projects progress across the district. A few major updates wrapped up this week and look fantastic: our track resurfacing is complete, our new tennis courts officially opened for matches, and striping is finished for the new Middle School traffic pattern. We appreciate your flexibility as these improvements came to life!

Balloons In The Horizon

Hot air balloons visited our Primary and Intermediate schools this week! A special thank you to pilot Robert Dicks of Churchville, PA for sharing his Fleckfolly V balloon with our Primary School. Wind conditions on Tuesday at the Primary School meant the balloon couldn't be fully inflated, but students still got up close to see inside the balloon and the basket!

Thursday brought 2004 Hudson Falls High School graduate and balloon pilot, B.J. Sullivan, to the Intermediate School. Mr. Sullivan gave the students a brief history of ballooning and the science behind it. He even took a mini-flight with fifth-grade teacher Mr. Paris! Mr. Reynolds' fourth graders were able to help deflate and pack up the balloon. Students can look for the balloon in the sky during this weekend's Adirondack Balloon Festival!

Special Occasion Snacks

We love celebrating special occasions with your child but need your help. We are asking parents and guardians to fill out our Special Occasion Online Snack Form at least 48 hours in advance of sending in a classroom snack or requesting a snack from our Food Nutrition Services. Food being sent in for special occasions without a form on file will be returned home. This does not include personal snacks sent for personal use including daily lunch and morning/afternoon snacks that are not to be shared.

How it works:

  • Sending a Snack: If you plan to send a special occasion snack from home for the class, please submit the form at least 48 hours in advance so we can verify it meets our classroom allergy guidelines.

  • Requesting a Snack: If you need the school to provide a special occasion snack for your child’s class, submitting the form 48 hours in advance ensures we have the inventory ready and available. Payment for requested snacks must be made directly to the Nutrition Office at the Middle School or to your child’s school Cafeteria Manager.

Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our classrooms safe and healthy!

Important Emergency Contact Information

It is important that we have the most accurate emergency contact information on file for your child(ren). Please watch for the pink emergency contact form coming home with your child next week, and use it to report any changes.

If you have a change of address within the district, you will need to fill out the change of address form online or download it here and drop it off in person at the registrar’s office in the Kindergarten Center.
