2024-25 Budget Passes

On May 21, Hudson Falls Central School District residents voted to approve the district’s 2024-25 proposed budget with 210 voting in favor and 73 voting against the $54,553,867 spending plan for the 2024-25 school year. The proposed plan calls for a $1,101,058 increase in spending over the current year’s budget.

“It is affirming to see that our Hudson Falls community is supportive of our school district’s proposed plans,” said Superintendent Daniel Ward. “The Hudson Falls Central School District is committed to providing students with as many opportunities as possible and our 2024-25 budget will allow us to do just that. The Board of Education and our administrative team are grateful for this vote of confidence from the people we serve.”

Voters also approved the proposition to purchase one 66-passenger school bus and two 28-passenger school buses with a total cost not to exceed $425,000 with 217 voting in favor and 75 voting against it.

Finally, two candidates were elected to the board of education. Community members elected Heidi Andrejkovics (264 votes) and Crystal Grimaldi (242 votes) to serve five-year terms. The term runs from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2029.
