Talking HF Tigers 9/12

We have successfully wrapped up our first full week of school and everyone is settling into their routines nicely. I want to thank everyone for their efforts in our new device free school environment. The cooperation of all has led to a great start to the school year and we look forward to a more focused educational experience.

Time to Drill

As required by New York State Education Law, students and staff in our school will be practicing “Evacuation Drills” and “Lockdown Drills.” These drills will help enhance and refine our emergency response procedures. To keep you better informed, you will be notified about drills prior to them taking place from your building administrator.

Talking About Safety

Building communications have begun informing parents and guardians of upcoming safety drills, some of which have already taken place. The safety of our students and all individuals in our school community is the priority for the Hudson Falls Central School District.

Please remind your student that any concern regarding safety within our school should be immediately reported to a school staff member.

Additionally, to help maintain a safe learning environment, the district has two full-time SROs who you may see in and around our school buildings. We thank Officer Woodward of the Hudson Falls Police Department and Officer Casertino of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department for their service to Hudson Falls Schools.

Parent Portal

We ask that all parents/guardians of students in grades 6-12 sign up for Parent Portal access through SchoolTool. Parent Portal offers parents and guardians the ability to stay on top of their students’ attendance and work assignments through a single login. At this time, there is no portal access for UPK-5th grade. Elementary parents and guardians should communicate with their child’s classroom teacher through email and classroom applications.

If you are eligible for an account, please use the following link: Parent Portal Form

Once we receive the information and create your parent/guardian account, you will receive an email with your password and login instructions. Any questions can be answered via email at schooltoolportal@hfcsd.org or via phone at (518) 681-4357.

Note from the Health Office

Students must be up to date with mandated vaccinations by September 18. Students not in compliance with NYS Public Health Law will begin being excluded starting September 18. We do not want any studets to be excluded, so please make arrangements if you have been contacted about an update to your immunizations.
