Intermediate School Remains Remote Through Thanksgiving Break

Dear Tiger Community,

Due to a large number of faculty and staff under quarantine, Intermediate School students will need to remain on remote learning through the Thanksgiving Break. The first day back in the building for students will now be November 30th. This is a change from earlier, now we must return following the Thanksgiving break.

We know that every day our students learn in our buildings is precious. And our goal throughout this year is to maximize the number of student learning days and the number of students safely learning in our buildings.  We understand the challenges that unscheduled transitions from remote learning to in-person learning presents to parents and caregivers. So we will continue to communicate with as much clarity and in a timely manner regarding any instructional pause.

Students in the Intermediate School should have received their Chromebook last week at their homes. If you did not receive yours, please contact the Intermediate School main office at (518) 681-4400 to arrange pickup.

Fourth and fifth-grade students should check their Google Classroom each morning for assignments, and communicate with their teacher. The same rules of the classroom apply to students whether they are at home or in school. We expect students to follow the Tiger Way each and every day!

Any Intermediate School family that would like a meal may pick one up at the cafeteria entrance on the Franklin Street side of our High School. Food will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Finally, always remember best practices about wearing masks, staying socially distant, and following proper hand hygiene

We can’t wait to see your children back in the building after the holiday and thank you once again for your continued support and patience during this unprecedented time.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jon Hunter, Interim Superintendent
