Positive Action

What is Positive Action?

Positive Action is a curriculum that helps students gain prospective on feeling good about themselves based on their own choices and actions. More information can be found about the program’s website: Positive Action

The NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services provides grant funding for the Positive Action program, as a research-based program that has been proven successful in preventing future addiction and destructive decision making. For more information, please visit the NYS OASAS

The local implementation partner for Positive Action is Council for Prevention. The Council works with both HFCSD and NYS OASAS to ensure the best possible implementation of the Positive Action curriculum at the Intermediate School. Please visit Council for Prevention to learn more about their services.
