It finally began to look like winter this past week with some much overdue snowfall. It is a great time to remind folks that in the event of postponements, cancellations, or schedule changes, please check our website and social media for the most up-to-date information regarding school delays and closings or changes to our after-school activities. ParentSquare will also provide direct communications to families, so make sure you are signed up to stay current on everything happening in the Hudson Falls Central School District!
As a reminder, there will be no school on Monday, January 15 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. day.
One Final Winter Concert
Just prior to the holidays, the newly renovated auditorium hosted a flood of concerts including a dedication ceremony for longtime Hudson Falls music teacher Joyce Irwin. With a little extra time for our youngest Tiger musicians to rehearse, we will showcase our elementary music program on Thursday, January 18 starting at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Attendees will get to hear compositions performed by our 4th and 5th grade orchestra, 5th grade band, and 3-5 choral club during the concert. We hope to see you there!
Regents Approaching
In the High School, Regents and midterm testing will be held from Tuesday, January 23 to Friday, January 26. Review sessions are underway to help prepare students. You can find the exam schedule and the review schedule on the High School page of the website.
#TigerPride and Fun Fridays
Tuesdays across the district are named “Tiger Tuesdays.” I encourage all students to engage in the fun and wear green and white every Tuesday all year long. Tiger Tuesdays are very popular at the Kindergarten Center, and now our KC students have added “Fun Fridays” to their week. Today was “Wear your clothes inside out” day, followed by “wear your favorite hoodie” on January 19 and “Frozen” day on January 26.
