Talking HF Tigers 10/13

Last Friday while the students were enjoying a day off from classes, staff members from across the district came together to hear from Don Shomette about school safety and the measures that can be taken to create a better and safer school environment. His presentation, “Safe & Loved”, focused on ways to enhance our school’s culture through a number of effective safety filters. A very special thanks to Don for making Hudson Falls a stop on his schedule!

Homecoming 2023

Spirit week kicked off last Thursday at the High School and on Tuesday at the Middle School. Students chose the themes of “Awareness Day” and “Twin Day” as a way to unite our students and staff. Friday’s pep rallies were full of friendly competitions and activities. Join us for Homecoming on Saturday (10/14) at noon on the Football Field for our game against Ichabod Crane. Following the game, high school students are invited back for their Homecoming semi-formal dance from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the HS gym. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Sports Update

Congratulations to our girls tennis team who captured a Section 2 runner-up finish in sectionals, losing in the championship match on Wednesday to defending champion Ichabod Crane 5-2. Our Tigers earned their spot in the championship by defeating Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk 7-0 at home on Tuesday. Way to go girls!

It is hard to believe that fall sports are winding down already. Registration for JV/Varsity winter sports is now open on FamilyID. Registration for modified winter sports (grades 7 and 8) will open on October 27. If you need more information on anything athletics, including FamilyID registrations, visit our athletics webpage.

For our younger students that are not able to compete in interscholastic athletics, HFCSD Recreation has winter sign-ups available now. Visit the HFCSD Rec section on our website for easy online registration.
