Talking HF Tigers 4/19

We talk a lot about Spring. It is always so busy. Spring is where we see full fields and playgrounds around the district thanks to improving weather and The Middle School and High School have entered the final quarter. While it is the “homestretch”, please make sure to address any questions you may have with your students’ teachers so everyone can be confident as we head into the testing season. Attendance always matters, especially these final few months!

Purple Palooza

On Wednesday we wore purple across the district to recognize military children and their families. The response was overwhelming and some of our very own military kids were able to have a special day. Words can not express our gratitude for all military families and I thank you for keeping them in your thoughts. Spirit days do a wonderful job of bringing our schools closer together and this one felt extra special.

Band on The Run

Thursday afternoon immediately following lunch, the high school Band, Orchestra, and Choir boarded charter buses headed for Virginia. They will be participating in a showcase on Saturday and we wish them luck. They also get to enjoy a fun stop on their trip by visiting Busch Gardens. Thank you to the music department for the extensive planning and fundraising to provide this opportunity to our students.

Rise and Smile

Last Friday kicked off the triumphant return of Grandparents Breakfast with first graders taking a seat at the table. This Thursday was the second graders’ day to share pancakes with grandparents, immediately followed by the third graders this morning. It is nice to share a moment of the school experience with grandparents and while the Primary School has completed theirs, we still have upcoming breakfasts.
