Wrapping up another wonderful week throughout Hudson Falls schools, it is important to take a minute to make sure folks know how to get in touch with faculty and staff. Visit our District Contact Guide which has the phone numbers of each building and a chart designed to have questions resolved in a timely manner. Teacher emails are no longer accessible through our website directory but parents may use ParentSquare, SchoolTool portal (Grades 6-12) or classroom applications to message teachers directly.
Inflated Excitement
Thursday kicked off this weekend’s 52nd annual Adirondack Balloon Festival at Crandall Park in Glens Falls. Intermediate students may have recognized a particular purple, blue and white balloon in the sky. 2004 Hudson Falls High School graduate and balloon pilot, B.J. Sullivan inflated his balloon for an assembly on Thursday morning at the Intermediate School. Mr. Sullivan gave the students a brief history of ballooning and the science behind it. The balloon never actually took flight but Mr. Sullivan took some great questions and at the conclusion of the event Mrs. Doak’s class helped with the deflation and packing of the balloon. Thank you to Mr. Sullivan and his crew for once again providing our students with this wonderful demonstration.
Parent Information Night Reminders
Next week at the elementary schools, we are excited to host our parent information nights, where parents and guardians have the opportunity to visit with their child’s classroom teachers.

Picture Day
Each of our schools will have a scheduled picture day. Review the schedule below to see when Picture Day is for your school. Flyers will be distributed home and digital flyers will also be shared through ParentSquare. Parents have the option to pre-order online and you can access this information below by clicking on your school.

Seniors, your senior portraits, baby pictures, and quotes are due Friday, October 24. All of the information you need regarding senior portraits, quotes, and superlatives will be on the Class of 2026 Google Classroom page.
Digital Equity Survey
The New York State Education Department is asking parents/guardians to complete a Digital Equity Survey (for each student in the family) in grades UPK through 5. Students in grades 6-12 will be completing this survey in school. This survey will provide information on student access to devices and internet access in their places of residence. To assist us in this process, please take a few minutes to complete a survey for each student in the family. Thank you for your time and cooperation.
