Talking HF Tigers 9/23

Hello Tiger families,

The month of September is winding down and things around the district are heating up with busy classrooms, activities, clubs, athletic events and plenty of opportunities to display #HFTigerPride.

Maybe one of the most rewarding ways to display our Tiger pride is the annual “Jug” game with our rival Glens Falls. We look forward to another exciting installment of this rivalry football game and encourage our community to show support and excitement for all of our Tigers. Presence at school events, supports student efforts, talents, and commitment to being a Tiger. From the athletic fields to the stage and everywhere in between, we look forward to seeing you in your green and white.

Tiger Tuesdays

Speaking of green and white, we are excited to build spirit throughout the district with the start of Tiger Tuesdays, beginning September 27th. On every Tuesday, students are asked to wear their green and white and show off their Tiger spirit. Students will  have the opportunity to take a picture with the Tiger mascot who will be making appearances in every building over the next month.  Participate by sharing photos with the #TigerTuesdays and your photo could be featured on our website and social media channels.

Newest Team Tiger Family Members

Each week this fall we will introduce you to a group of our newest Team Tiger family members. This week please welcome:

Ashlie Dolphin, Chloe Nemier, Tammy Moss-Hicks, Meghan Gray, Samantha Poitras, Caitlin Canavan, Andrew R. Welkley, Jillian Veitch, Mark Frament, Jay Hebert, Raymond Cummings, Shannon Gillis, Margaret Lawrence and Danielle Dunleavy.

Want to know which of these individuals didn’t like writing essays when they were in school? Or who was a Colonel in the Army before becoming a teacher? Read more here!

Open House

One of our best moments for families has been the return to in-person open house. It has been great having our parents and guardians back in our buildings to see their children’s classrooms, meet their teachers and experience a sample of what their students’ day is like.  Thank you to all of our families who attended the Kindergarten Center, Primary School and Middle School Open Houses.  We know your support will only strengthen the relationships with their teachers.

As a reminder this upcoming week we have the Intermediate School Open House on Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the High School Open House Thursday, Sept. 29 at  6:30 p.m.

Looking forward to continuing our fantastic school opening energy, Go Tigers
