We hope all of our families enjoyed a wonderful, restful Thanksgiving break, taking time to connect with family. As we transition into the exciting final weeks of the calendar year, we have an important scheduling reminder: Next week, Tuesday, December 9 through Friday, December 12, our elementary schools will be operating on a half-day schedule to facilitate Parent-Teacher Conferences.
HF Hometown Tradition
The magic begins tonight! As a community partner we invite all families to Juckett Park at 6:00 p.m. for the annual Santa Rescue, a wonderful tradition. Come celebrate and enjoy complimentary cookies and hot cocoa, and get your chance to meet Santa Claus. A friendly reminder: The event is outdoors, so please dress in your warmest winter gear!
Basket Raffle
Please join the Hudson Falls Middle School Student Council and PTSO at their annual basket raffle being held on Saturday, December 6, from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the middle school. Proceeds will go to purchase complimentary yearbooks for all our 8th grade students and Operation Santa Claus which benefits many of the families in our community. They will auction off over 50 baskets, hold a 50/50 raffle, and have concessions available for purchase.
Snowy Days
Hopefully the early snow day didn’t catch anyone unprepared and everyone had a chance to get shoveled out before our current frigid temperatures set in. A quick reminder that we use ParentSquare for all of our emergency notifications. If you or someone you know did not receive the ParentSquare message, please reach out to our help desk at help@hfcsd.org or call 518-681-4357, and someone will assist you.

Celebrating Success
Prior to break, High School students were recognized in grade level assemblies. Awards featured students who made merit or honor roll, had perfect attendance and fall season scholar-athletes. Special recognition goes to our students of the quarter for each grade. Congratulations students!
This week, the Middle School recognized students in grade level assemblies of their own. A new category of achievement was introduced to students with high honors, joining the merit and honor rolls. High honors included any student with a GPA of 95 and higher. Perfect attendance for the quarter put students into a drawing for Tigers swag with the main attraction being the naming of Top Notch Tigers. Two students from each team who demonstrate a variety of positive attributes were celebrated. Parents of these students were in attendance to surprise their students and join in on the celebration of this unique achievement. Enjoy your VIP privileges and congratulations to this quarter’s Top Notch Tigers!
