Attendance & Safety Reminder From HFCSD

Dear Tiger Community,

We know that this school year has been called many things…different, challenging, ever-changing, and unique just to name a few!  To help all of us navigate the “new normal,” we will be sending periodic email updates like this one to keep you informed.

Like you, I am getting excited that the Thanksgiving Holiday is only eleven days away!  So, the next 11 days are important. We need our students in school and learning. Please take the time to remind students in grades 6-12 to sign on for daily instruction in their Google Classroom and to get to school on-time for their Green/White in-person learning days.

While they are in our building, please remind students to wear masks, use hand sanitizer, and to wash hands.  We’ve got information about all of our health and safety protocols on our website.

Additionally, all classes, both in-person and remote will take a day off this Wednesday to celebrate the Veteran’s Day holiday. During this time, take a break from learning, and spend a moment to recognize the veterans in your life. It might be something simple, like a phone call or text message thank you. But it will make a big difference in the lives of others. We could all use a little more kindness this school year!

We are only #HFTigerStrong when we all work together. And regular communication is a foundation for good teamwork. So we will do our best to keep you all up to date with the very latest information that may affect your family. We are in this together to create the best learning environment we can for all of our students. Thank you for the continued support!

Sincerely,

Dr. Jon Hunter, Interim Superintendent
