Board Appoints New Assistant Superintendent

The Hudson Falls School Board appointed Michael DeCaprio Assistant Superintendent for Education and Accountability at their June meeting.

Michael DeCaprio brings over two decades of experience in the classroom to our administration team. He was a secondary English teacher for 12 years before becoming an administrator. He first served as Hadley-Luzerne’s Academic Services Administrator, covering K-12 curriculum and data.

Michael has spent the last seven years at WSWHE BOCES, most recently as the Assistant Director for Professional Learning. His work supported 31 local districts in learning and implementing many of the State Education Department’s education-related initiatives.

“We are so happy to have Michael at Hudson Falls,” said Superintendent Linda Goewey. “His wealth of knowledge, as well as his positive personality, will serve our students well!”
