Just as a reminder, Veterans Day is this Saturday. I would like to take a moment to thank all of our Veterans for their service to this country. Their sacrifice makes what we all do on a day to day basis possible. Schools will be observing the holiday on Friday, so there is no school on Friday. Enjoy the long weekend!
Operation Santa 5K and The Tony Luciano Run
The Operation Santa 5K and The Tony Luciano Run will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the Hudson Falls High School Franklin Street entrance. If you are interested in participating in the races, there is still time to sign up here. All proceeds from the race and our sponsors will go towards Operation Santa and HF Rotary Scholarships for students in our district. For spectators, vendors from Adirondack Seafood and Coach’s Corner will join us to sell food and refreshments.
There will be concessions in the cafeteria selling coffee, Gatorade, and baked items to benefit Adam Wells. Now in the 7th grade, Adam was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy Duchennes disease when he was 6 years old. Adam, his family, and his teachers will be at the stand, and the proceeds will go towards a wheelchair accessible van for the family.

WSWHE BOCES is currently accepting entries for the 39th Annual Talent Unlimited Literary Arts Journal Contest. This year, the theme they have selected is “memories”. The winning artwork will be selected by a jury of professional artists and writers, and will be featured in “Talent Unlimited”, an annual literary arts journal featuring outstanding poems, essays, photographs, paintings, drawings, and graphic designs created by students in grades 7 – 12. Basketball: UAlbany vs Army, Support Hudson Falls Alumni
The UAlbany Great Danes will be coming to Glens Falls to play against the Army Black Knights. Former Hudson Falls Tiger, Jonathan Beagle, is currently on the UAlbany basketball team, and they have extended discounted tickets to the Hudson Falls community so we can watch him play at home! Beagle was named Rookie of the Year last year in the America East Conference. The games will kick off at 7:00 p.m. on November 21st, you can purchase tickets with the Hudson Falls discount by clicking here.
