Talking HF Tigers 11/3

Please keep in mind that we will be holding our annual emergency release drill on Thursday, November 9th. All schools in the Hudson Falls Central School District will end 15 minutes before their usual times. This is a once-a-year drill required for schools in New York to test our emergency plan. If you are picking up your student from school, please arrive 15 minutes earlier than your normal time. If your student takes the bus or another mode of transportation, expect for them to be home 15 minutes earlier. You can see the full schedule of release times here.

Tigers Going to States

The Hudson Falls High School cheerleading team is the Class B Section 2 state qualifier for Game Day Cheer. For the second time in three years our cheer program is competing at the state level. Good luck to the girls and Coach TenEyck in Binghamton this weekend. I encourage members of the community to gather at Juckett Park on the circle Saturday, November 4 at 9:30 a.m. to send the girls off proper with HFPD and HFFD.

Halloween in Hudson Falls

It is always a joy to celebrate the holidays with our students. Over the weekend, we hosted our annual Trunk or Treat outside of the high school. Community members joined us to collect candy and marvel at each other’s creative costumes. On the day of Halloween, students came to school in costume, our Primary School put on a costume parade, and UPK students dressed up and walked to The Strand Theatre to watch a fall movie. Thank you to all of the community members who came together to make this Halloween fun and helped to create memories that last a lifetime for our students.

Stuff the Cruiser

The Hudson Falls Central School District is teaming up with the Hudson Falls Police Department to gather food for the Stuff the Cruiser Thanksgiving Food Drive! Meet us at Juckett Park on Sunday, November 19th anytime from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and bring your donations of non-perishable food. We will fill as many police cruisers with donations as possible. Items like boxed stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, and canned gravy will help us to bring Thanksgiving to all members of our community.

Winter Sports Registration is Open

Our winter sports are right around the corner! The Hudson Falls Athletics Department will continue to use online registration through FamilyID for the upcoming seasons. Registrations for Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Modified winter sports are now open. You can review the steps to register online by clicking here.

Champion of Choices

On November 8th, the Hudson Falls Central School District will be joined by former WWE Wrestling Champion, Marc Mero for a presentation on behalf of Champion of Choices. Mero has presented to thousands of schools and has been recognized as one of America’s most sought-after school presenters. Champion of Choice was founded by Mero in 2007 with the goal of empowering youth to make positive choices in their lives. Through his public speaking, Mero has worked to instill hope in students and help them overcome their most challenging obstacles.
