Halloween Costume Exchange for Families

Primary School collecting costumes now through Oct.14

The Primary School’s Family Costume Exchange is underway!

Before you toss your old costumes or head to the store to buy a new one, event organizers are encouraging families to participate in a “costume swap.”

“It is a great way to reuse gently-used kid’s Halloween costumes and dress-up clothes and save parents a lot of money,” organizers said.

Collection bins are set up at each elementary school through Oct. 14. Organizers are asking families in grades UPK – Grade 5 to send in their old and gently-used costumes to school.

Basic rules for the swap:

  • Accepting all sizes of costumes from infant to elementary school-aged
  • MUST be gently worn/used with no visible tears or stains
    • If you wouldn’t take it at a swap, then it’s probably not swap-able!

The costume exchange is Thursday, Oct. 20, 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the Primary School Cafeteria. Costumes are offered on a first- come, first-serve basis.

All elementary families are welcome to attend!
