HFCSD Recreation Department Covid-19 Procedure 2021

Parent/Guardians

  • Pre-screen your child at home – temperature taking – to establish a baseline – this will help eliminate surprise and potential exposure for others.
  • If your child shows any signs or symptoms please call Aaron Dudley, Recreation Director at 518-804-3173.
  • Upon arrival, the rec staff will ask the parent/guardian screening questions related to Covid-19 and check the child’s temperature.  

Rec Participants

  • If the child feels sick, please keep them home.
  • We ask that you please maintain social distancing and wear a mask. 
  • The child will have their temperature taken by one of the HFCSD Rec staff. 
  • If a child has a measured temperature of 100.0 degrees F or greater, the child will be asked to return home.
  • After further evaluation – for precautionary measures, the child may be asked not to attend rec activities for the day and/or the remainder of the session.  
  • The Rec Director and the District Head Nurse will be advised.

                                    Recreation Staff 

  • If an employee feels sick – symptoms such as flu-like they are not to report to work.
  • They are to contact the Rec Director, Aaron Dudley.
  • When reporting to work – all staff must be wearing a mask. 
  • Immediately upon arrival – the staff member is to have their temperature taken and noted on their daily intake screening form.
  • If an employee has a measured temperature of 100.0 degrees F or greater they are to return to their vehicle for further evaluation by their medical provider. 
  • After further evaluation – for precautionary measures, the staff member may be directed to not report to work. The Rec Director and the District Head Nurse will be advised. 

Guidelines & Rules

  • No walk-up participants will be allowed. 
  • Programs will be adjusted to follow guidelines as laid out by the NYSDOH and CDC.
  • Program dates and times may be adjusted after registration opens to follow future regulations and guidance for the Hudson Falls Central School District.
  • HFCSD will supply each Recreation Dept.  location with cleaning supplies to disinfect the area and materials prior to the camp starting and after the camp has finished each day.
  • Program size will be limited to follow social distancing recommendations and gathering size limits.
  • Instructors will be required to wear face masks during their program when indoors at all times. Instructors may remove masks for outside activities as long as they are following proper social distancing.

Arts & Crafts

  • You must sign up online to reserve your spot in one of the available times sessions.
  • Participants will also be required to wear a face mask while entering and exiting the program.  Once seated and socially distanced apart the mask may be removed.
  • Materials will be provided by the instructor and are for individual use only. Please do not share. 

       Golf Club

  • You must sign up online to reserve your spot in one of the available times sessions.
  • Activities that can maintain social distancing will allow participants to remove their masks as long as the six-foot distance can be maintained.
  • Due to inclement weather, the golf club could be canceled. There will be no make-up dates.

Pool

  • The HFCSD Community Pool is open ONLY to Hudson Falls residents. 
  • ALL swimmers under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian to have screenings and consents signed. 
  • Participants will be expected to wear a mask when NOT in the pool and are to maintain social distancing while in the pool.   
  • Only one person at a time in the restroom except for family with young children. 
  • No food is allowed.
  • There will be no re-entry into the pool for any reason. 
  • Any bodily fluids in the pool, the pool will shut down immediately for the remainder of that session. 
  • The pool is subject to closing immediately due to inclement weather.
