Hudson Falls CSD Identifies COVID-19 Positive Case at Middle School

Dear Tiger Community,

The district learned today that a member of the Hudson Falls Middle School community has tested positive for COVID-19. Our first priority is always the safety of all of our students, faculty, and staff. As soon as the affected person was identified, other contacts were evaluated by our nursing staff and sent off-campus out of an abundance of caution. All students will be dismissed at the regular time. There will be no pause on in-person hybrid learning due to the upcoming holiday recess.

We are currently working closely with Washington County Public Health to identify this individual’s contacts. However, Washington County Public Health has been experiencing delays in contact tracing. Washington County will reach out to all contacts and advise on the need to quarantine and to arrange to test those exposed.

Please note that New York State and Federal privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Thank you for your support as we work with our public health partners. We will continue to keep parents & our school community informed about any further changes to our learning.

Sincerely,

Jon Hunter, Interim Superintendent
