Dear Parents/Guardians,
In response to safety concerns on Martindale Avenue, you will notice the following changes during dismissal time on that street, adjacent to our playground.

- An HFPD presence will be noticed, as the department is working with the village and school district to determine the best course of action to ensure the safety of students and community members
- An additional crossing guard will be present to help students and parents remain safe
- The No Parking zone will be extended on both sides of the crosswalk near the entrance to the IS playground, designated by cones and barrels.
- A No Parking designation will be enforced on the north side of Martindale Avenue between 5th Street and the village line past 7th Street, designated by cones and barrels
Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we attempt to best address the situation, ensuring the safety of all HFCSD students that may be traveling through that area.
