Reopening Public Presentation 8/24

Dear Tiger Family:

We have been working all summer long with one goal in mind – to bring 100% of our students back to the classroom 100% of the time. After tireless work with our partners at the Washington County Health Department, we have created a plan that follows the guidance released last week from the New York State Department of Education.

This plan layers multiple COVID-19 prevention strategies so that we can best keep our students and staff safe and healthy while meeting our goal of 100% in-person learning.

We are also hosting a public presentation of our plan on Tuesday, August 24 at 6:00 pm to provide information important to school reopening. The presentation will be held at our high school and will be live-streamed for anyone who cannot make it in person.

If you have any questions you’d like to ask, send an email to questions@hfcsd.org or send us a direct message on our Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter accounts. We’ll do our best to answer your questions during our public presentation on Tuesday.  Additionally, we intend to create a FAQ document after the presentation.

The best way we can all help keep our kids in school is to continue these safety measures at home, and model responsible behavior. In addition, I highly encourage everyone ages 12 and up to get their COVID-19 vaccination. You can find a vaccine site on New York State’s Department of Health website.

Sincerely,

Dan Ward, Hudson Falls CSD Superintendent
