Talking HF Tigers 3/22

It’s refreshing to see our school building’s across the district so busy with student driven events. It is with great pleasure that our district remains a hub to the community and with that in mind we hope everyone can take a minute on Wednesday, March 27 to cast their vote on our capital project proposal. Polls will open at noon and remain open until 8:00 p.m. at the High School gymnasium. Thanks again to all those who attended the project informational sessions.  If you were unable to make it and would like to gather more information on the proposal visit our website.

Also a reminder that there will be no school next Friday, March 29 in observance of Good Friday followed by no classes the following week April 1-5 for Spring break.

Fair Enough

Last week was the Culture Fair at the high school, and on Wednesday, March 27 it’s the Science Fair at the Primary School. From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Primary School gymnasium students will have their science projects on display. An exciting night of elementary science exploration with interactive experiments and an abundance of creativity that make us proud of our young scientists.

Last Round of PTC

Starting Monday, March 25 through Thursday, March 28, is our sixth grade Parent Teacher Conferences. Sixth grade only will be dismissed at 11:00 a.m. for the week and lunch will be provided prior to dismissal.

Be Our Guest

Popular young adult novelist April Henry will visit Hudson Falls on Monday, March 25. Students had the opportunity to pre-purchase books to have autographed with presentations to the entire Middle School and High School taking place in separate sessions in the high school auditorium Monday morning. Following the assemblies, Ms. Henry will be hosting a writers’ workshop in the library during the afternoon for select high schoolers.

Fun With the Sun

April 8, will be a special day as we are in close proximity to the path of the total solar eclipse. School will be in session for a regular school day and the district will be providing eclipse glasses for students and staff members. Buildings will be dismissed at their normal times and all after school activities will be conducted inside until 4:45 on that day. If you would like more information about the solar eclipse check out the State Education Department website.
