Talking HF Tigers 5/20

Hello Tiger Family,

The 84% ‘yes’ vote on the budget, in addition to the bus purchase and capital reserve propositions, is a testament to the support the voters of Hudson Falls have for our school district. On behalf of the Board of Education, administration, faculty, staff, and students I would like to share my sincerest thanks to our voters for your overwhelming support. It is yet another example of our community’s TIGERPRIDE.

One direct result of your support will be the launch of our agriculture program this fall. It will provide our students with an in-house educational option that both fits and meets our community’s needs. Programs like this, along with more courses at the high school and more access to social-emotional resources for our students are just a portion of what residents said yes to when they passed this budget.

There is still more we need in order to support student success and would therefore love to hear from you on our Climate Survey. Thank you if you have already completed it, however if you haven’t had an opportunity, we encourage you to do so. Whether you are a parent, instructional staff, or non-instructional staff, we value your insight.

The second half of this school year continues to be a wonderful welcome back of many events that we have missed due to the pandemic, this includes our spring concert series which kicks off next week.  Be sure to check out our website for performance dates and times.

Lastly, graduation is on the horizon and this year’s ceremony will be Saturday, June 25 at 10:30 a.m. This group of seniors has endured challenges and hurdles in their four years of high school but are finishing strong. It will be a great honor to celebrate this historic milestone with the Hudson Falls Class of 2022 and I am looking forward to enjoying the ceremony with our seniors, and their families.  It will no doubt be a very proud day for all involved.

Sincerely,

Dan Ward, Superintendent
