Talking HF Tigers 5/6

Hello Tiger Family,

We’ve wrapped up an especially important week in our District, as we celebrated our wonderful teachers and educators, for Teacher Appreciation Week. Each of these individuals strives to make a difference for our students on a daily basis and for this we owe them our sincerest thanks. The “Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow” campaign is rooted in our amazing staff because we are certain that if you can get your student to school on time everyday, we know that we have the resources and talented staff to support them in realizing a successful future.

Next week, we are launching a school climate and culture survey. Your input is important to us as we continue to shape how our schools run and ensure your students’ experiences stay true to the values and needs of the community. We urge parents, non-instructional and instructional staff, and students in grades 5-12 to each take a survey with questions tailored to your specific connection to our school.  Check out our website in the coming days for the information on how to access and take these brief and important surveys.

The proposed 2022-23 budget carrying a 0% tax levy increase, will be voted on by residents on Tuesday, May 17. Budget newsletters should have been received by mail. If you did not receive one and would like a hard copy please reach out to Mrs. Henzel at (518) 681-4124.  You can also access budget information on the website

Lastly, senior Ashlyn Hutchinson, is headed to the Regeneron Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Atlanta, GA,  May 8-13. Ashlyn will be presenting to judges from all over the world, with nearly 1800 finalists competing for over $5 million worth of prizes and scholarships. Ashlyn’s sponsoring teacher is Mr. Thomas Vartuli. The Hudson Falls Tiger Community wishes her all the best as she enters the world stage.

Sincerely,

Dan Ward, Superintendent
