A couple of schedule reminders as we approach the final two weeks of the school year. Monday, June 16, will be the last day of classes at the high school, with final exams and Regents testing beginning on Tuesday. On Thursday, June 19, all schools are closed in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
Driver’s Education Sign Up
This Summer we are once again offering our Driver’s Education program. To be eligible for the program, students must be in good academic standing, enrolled at Hudson Falls after July 1 (no graduating seniors) and be 16 years of age with a learner’s permit by June 20, 2025. The program will run from July 1 through August 7 and attendance will be mandatory for all 16 classroom and 16 driving sessions. Classes are held at the Middle School.
Sign-ups will take place on Tuesday, June 17 at 12:30 p.m. in the High School Main Office. When signing up, students will need to bring their learner’s permit and a $50 deposit which will be refunded after successful completion of the program. During the sign-up, students will choose a preferred class time which will correspond to a road group. Any questions can be directed to the High School Main Office at (518) 681-4206.
Have A “Field” Day
One of the most exciting end-of-year events at the elementary schools is Field Day. The Intermediate School will kick off the first Field Day on Monday, June 16. The following day, June 17, the Primary School will take its turn, with our final Field Day scheduled for Friday, June 20, at the Kindergarten Center. We look forward to full fields of students, staff, parents, and grandparents as our Physical Education teachers provide a variety of activities. A special thank you to our PTSA for providing field day shirts for all students. Make sure to send in an extra water bottle next week!
Go Tiger!
Good luck to Jaymison Eisenhardt, who will be competing in the triple jump this weekend in Middletown at the NYSPHSAA Track & Field State Championships! Jaymison, a senior, tied the Foothills Championship meet record earlier this season, and at Sectionals, broke his school record in the triple jump with a jump of 46 feet 6 inches. Congratulations on a remarkable Spring season.
HFCSD Rec Offerings
With the Summer almost here check out the HFCSD Recreation programs available. There are many great options including: Summer field trips, sports camps, Community Pool hours and so much more. It is a great way to keep kids active throughout the Summer.
Fall sign-ups are open for soccer and flag football. Don’t wait, get signed up today!
Chromebook Collection
Chromebooks are being collected from all students in order to make sure they are properly updated and inventoried. The elementary school students will have their Chromebooks collected in their classrooms. The middle school Chromebooks will be collected in the students’ homerooms, and at the high school, student Chromebooks and Chromebook chargers must be turned in by Monday, June 16. If you’d like to turn it in sooner, please drop it off at the G3 Tech Office. Honor students who need their Chromebooks over the summer should still drop them off; we will arrange a pickup date before the end of the school year. We thank everyone for their cooperation.
