How to Apply to the Board of Education

Members of the community may apply for the Hudson Falls Board of Education.  The position is for a five-year term. According to the New York State School Boards Association, school board members take on one of the most important citizen responsibilities: overseeing the education of our community’s young people.

In Hudson Falls, the nine volunteer members of the school board help set the vision and direction for the district through the Superintendent of Schools.

Anyone interested in running for the seat must pick up a petition at our District Offices located at 80 E. LaBarge Street. Paperwork must be returned by April 19th in order to appear on the May ballot.
