Talking HF Tigers 4/1

Hello Tiger Family,

Student representatives participating in the WSWHE BOCES Career and Technical Education Programs attended the SkillsUSA regional competition at Schenectady Community College on March 16. Check out our website for details on the results and congratulations to all of our high school participants. Thank you for making us “Tiger Proud” with your accomplishments.

I want to congratulate the cast and crew of “The Drowsy Chaperone” for their amazing performances last weekend, and for displaying the rich and diverse talent walking through our halls.

Last week we had 18 winners in our “Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow” campaign. For just being here each day on time, students walked away with gift cards, Tiger merchandise and even homework passes. These winners are highlighted on our social media and website, with plenty of great prizes still to come. Encourage your student to be the next winner by getting to school every day, and on time.

This weekend we are excited to have our National Honor Society Inductees walk the stage and celebrate their achievements in their long overdue ceremony.

The Big Trucks are coming to the Primary School! As part of Community Services Day, we’d like to invite our families to climb around on fire trucks, dump trucks, and even some tractors. The Community Day will also feature information booths set up by community partners, with snacks and other fun activities for the kids planned.

We encourage all of our families to come and see what our community has to offer Saturday, April 9 from 10a.m. to noon.

Sincerely,

Dan Ward, Superintendent
