Home COVID-19 Testing Kits
Home COVID-19 testing kits are NOT accepted as proof of COVID-19 testing. According to our partners at Washington County Public Health, Hudson Falls CSD may only accept a test that has been administered by a health care provider to allow students to return to school with the appropriate documentation.
Refusal to test
After families are notified that their child is exhibiting signs/symptoms of COVID-19 they have 48 hours to take their child to a healthcare provider for COVID-19 testing.
If a family refuses to test after 48 hours from symptom onset, Hudson Falls CSD is required to pass along you and your child’s information to Washington County Public Health. Washington County Public Health will then be in contact with you. Refusal to test will result in Washington County Public Health presuming your student is COVID-19 positive and will then quarantine the entire household.
